Waypoint’s Mental Health in Motion is back in person and we can’t wait!

On Friday May 10th join Waypoint at the Community Health Hub, 287 Bayshore Drive, Midland between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for a BBQ, self-directed walk on Rotary Trail, Hub and enjoy activities to mark Mental Health Week.

Over the past ninth years, Mental Health in Motion has raised over $138,000 to support patients at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care and encouraged our community to make their mental health a priority.

Funds raised this year at the pay-what-you-can event will support Community Mental Health Programs.

This year Mental Health in Motion will be raising funds to support community

mental health programs including:

North Simcoe Youth Wellness Hub

Offering a wide range of services, including mental health and substance use and addictions counselling, for youth age 12 to 25, and their families, at the right time and in the right place.

Outpatient Assessment and Treatment Service

Provides goal-directed service for individuals experiencing mental health challenges to develop unique care plans that support their journey towards health, wellness, and recovery.

Mobile Assessment Program

The Mobile Treatment and Support Team offers ongoing assessment and treatment for individuals that have been discharged from hospital to support their transition back into the community.

Family, Child and Youth Program

Provides community-based mental health in-person and virtual care for the full spectrum of mental health conditions to children and youth aged 17 years and younger

With a strong network of mental health and addiction partners, the launch of the North Simcoe Youth Wellness Hub, Waypoint’s new Family, Child and Youth Program in the community, and now the Youth Resiliency Program, everyone in our region have more service options than ever before. With your help, we are bringing mental health support directly to everyone, where and when they need it most.

While this is a pay-what-you-can event, we are encouraging participants to help raise funds by collecting pledges, challenging your coworkers and friends to see who can raise the most money and come as a team to enjoy the day. If you are unable to join us on May 10th, choose your own adventure throughout the week instead and make a donation to the cause.

We hope you will join us. Give. So no one gives up.
